Jim Dorn
Vice-President for Academic Affairs, The Cato Institute and Editor, The Cato Journal, Washington, D.C. Dr. Dorn is an economist and a China specialist. He has written numerous articles on economic reform and financial institutions in China and has edited ten books, including China's Future: Constructive Partner or Emerging Threat and Economic Reform in China.

Patrick Randolph
Professor of Law, University of Missouri at Kansas City. Professor Randolph is an expert in property law and has long experience working in China. He is the co-author of a book entitled Chinese Real Estate Law and was recently named co-director of the Peking University Center on Land Law and Policy.

Brian Schwarzwalder
Staff Attorney, Rural Development Institute, Seattle, WA. As RDI's China Program Coordinator, Mr. Schwarzwalder has managed two nationwide, random sample surveys monitoring implementation of ongoing rural land tenure reforms in China. He has also assisted Chinese policy-makers and legislative drafters develop and implement several laws, including the recent Rural Land Contracting Law.

Mark Cohen
Attorney-Advisor, United States Patent and Trademark Office, Washington, D.C. As an attorney with the USPTO, Mr. Cohen's responsibilities include training and consultations on standards for intellectual property enforcement, especially with regard to East Asia and South Asia. He speaks and reads Mandarin Chinese and is well published on Chinese legal and intellectual property matters.
