Worker Rights
According to an article appearing on the China Court website, an underage worker injured on-the-job successfully sued the local labor bureau for its failure to investigate his employer, a brickyard, for violations of child labor laws. The article illustrates the continuing problem of child labor in China, but also an emerging ability of Chinese plaintiffs to rely on lawsuits against local government to protect their rights.
